Ready for the next exciting instalment?

Just shy of a year ago I went A.W.O.L. (Absent Without Official Leave) …well at least as far as my blog posts, social media accounts, and networking activities were concerned. I uninstalled Facebook and Instagram from my phones (and was rarely active on LinkedIn anyway), and I left the Women Mean Biz network which I’d been a member of and then a leader in since early 2018.

I’d started the year with the idea that I need to take a step back and look at my business with a fresh pair of eyes. I knew I needed

time to think…

to renew…

to re-evaluate…

With that in mind, I signed up for Branded & Unstoppable ™, a 2-day workshop designed and led by the talented and wise Belinda Furneaux-Harris. I spent two inspiring days with eleven other female business owners, many of whom I knew through my networking, defining the essence of my brand, who it is I serve, and how I want them to feel when (and after) we work together.

I also sought out some 1:1 coaching to help me uncover my own limiting, or unhelpful, beliefs about success, and to help me reconnect to my vision for the future.

“At the centre of your being you have the answer; you know who you are, and you know what you want.”

– Lao Tzu

Change is the only constant

When I launched Square Peg Coaching back in 2017 I had no real direction I wanted to go in except to use my gifts to help others become the best they could be at being themselves, and as a result, find the confidence to shape their lives in a way that felt meaningful to them. And that is what I believe I have been able to do. Yet there comes a time when change is needed.

If you’ve read my first blog post “What can a lobster teach you about growth?” you might recall that for a lobster to grow it needs to go through a process of shedding its existing hard outer carapace/shell and then find a safe space to be while it waits for its new, more roomy one, to harden up. It takes time and a huge amount of energy and vulnerability to achieve.

The same is often true for our hopes and dreams, which is why when you know change is needed you have to find the time, the energy and a safe space to do the work.

And so I withdrew from being “out there” so I could focus on what was “in here”.

I gave myself the gift of time, I gave myself permission to feel vulnerable, unsure of the answers I would find, and I asked for help.

Time for something new….

So what’s the outcome? What’s next for me, and for Square Peg Coaching?

An exciting new chapter!

The exact same thing I want for the unique individuals I work with.

In less than two weeks I’ll be stepping out from behind Square Peg Coaching, and unveiling Alison Muir Coaching, along with my new, beautiful (if I say so myself!) website and carefully crafted and captivating ways for us to work together.

I’ll be pursuing my passion for helping introverted leaders and business owners succeed, transform the impact they have on the world, and live life in alignment with their introverted strengths rather than ignoring them.

P.S. I’m glad you’re here with me as I turn the page and start writing the next instalment in the adventure of my life x
